Chef Adam SaNogueira
Adam SaNogueira entered the kitchen as an apprentice in 1999, and his passion for cooking has only grown since. He attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy’s Piedmont region, and from there apprenticed at the Michelin-starred restaurants Quattro Passi on the Amalfi Coast and Agata e Romeo in Rome. Adam worked as sous chef at Basil NY in Brooklyn and eventually ran the kitchen as chef. He spent four years at the Isabella Freedman Center in Connecticut, first as lead pickler, then as chef and food service director working directly with an onsite farm, in a true, farm to table style. He currently lives in Durham, North Carolina with his wife, Rikki, and daughter, Halleli, where he enjoys the Eno River, the Durham Bulls, and the beer.
Chef Itta Werdiger Roth
Itta Werdiger Roth is a chef and entrepreneur. She founded the Hester in 2011 and more recently was chef/partner at Mason & Mug, a kosher small-plates beer and wine bar in Brooklyn. It has since closed, but still boasts an audience begging for more. Werdiger-Roth is dreaming of her next big food project, but in the meanwhile loves to do a pop-up every so often. She lives in Brooklyn with her growing family.
The event is completely kosher, cholov yisroel, pas yisroel and under the supervision of Itta Werdiger-Roth (who worked as a cook and mashgiach for the OU at Pardes Restaurant in 2010). There will be no live music for this event as it falls during the 3 weeks, but there will be recorded music. There will be fantastic wines served on Wednesday and at the first seating on Thursday, but not at the second seating. Plenty of beer and cocktails will be available at all dinners.
