Turner Cody is a love-child of 1960s folk and garage blues. A Dylan acolyte and a prolific songwriter who has been performing around the US and Europe for over ten years, Cody is a troubadour in the truest sense. He has appeared on some of New York’s finest stages, and we’re honoured to have him perform at The Hester.
Cody’s first commercial release was on Rough Trade’s 2002 Anti-folk Vol.1, where he appeared alongside Adam Green, Kimya Dawson, Jeffrey Lewis and others from NYC’s Sidewalk Café scene. Since then he has released a bunch of different albums, including an album on his own record label, Mad Monk.
